Randy Gray to Receive University of Iowa Distinguished Alumni Award
Randy Gray, our President & CEO at Marc Center of Mesa, Inc. , has been selected to receive the University of Iowa 2012 Distinguished Alumni Award in the Service Category. This honor recognizes alumni of the University of Iowa who reflect the highest standard of achievement and service that was nurtured at the University of Iowa. It represents acknowledgement of the outstanding work of individuals and their contribution to their professions and society as a whole. Marc Center has been the beneficiary of Randy’s leadership and efforts for more than 35 years so we are well of aware of the impact his work has had on thousands of individuals, friends and colleagues.
Each year since 1963, the University of Iowa Alumni Association has presented accomplished alumni and friends with the association's highest honor—the Distinguished Alumni Award. To best recognize individuals selected for service or for achievement, awards are presented in six categories: Achievement, Service, Hickerson Recognition, Faculty/Staff, Young Alumni and Friend of the University.
This award has been bestowed on Pulitzer Prize winners, leaders of industry, medicine, public service, athletics and the arts. Some past recipients include scientist James Van Allen, journalist Tom Brokaw, and authors Wallace Stegner and John Irving.
Randy will be receiving this award on June 9, 2012 in Iowa City, Iowa. Please be sure to congratulate him when you have the opportunity.
